Match Report - U16 girls football team

On Wednesday 19th September the U16 girls football team played Blatchington Mill in their first game of the new season.

It was a tough fixture to get us underway in the league and the girls knew Blatch would be fielding a strong and physical team.

With the blustery wind against us in the first half, we found It difficult to get forward and attack. However the girls put in a great defensive effort and fought hard to keep the score line down. The roles were reversed in the second half and we were able to dominated possession, attack the Blatch defence and create a number of chances, which could have seen us draw level. Unfortunately, we didn't make the most of these and with one goal disallowed the final score ended HPS 1- Blatch 5

Congratulations to Hattie, Jess, Bonnie, Flo, Katie, Tabby, Phoenix, Lily, Rhiannon and our year 9 students who played up a year, Stella, Bella, Sienna, Laura, Chloe, Molly and Gemma.
