Peer Tutors support pupils from Iford and Kingston Primary

On Thursday last week our Year 9 and Year 10 Peer Tutors joined forces to help support year 5 pupils from Iford and Kingston Primary, near Lewes. The primary pupils came to our Nevill site to start a Geography Project with the Peer Tutors. The Hove Park Students joined groups and were showing them around the local community that our school is in. We walked all around the local area and visited local churches, the windmill, local businesses, schools and had a tour of the Greyhound stadium and Corals Gym! We are going to Iford next week for a picnic on the Downs and to learn about the history of their local community. The Peer Tutors were superb ambassadors for the school and Andrew Dobell, the Head Teacher said ‘It was a great day thank you. The children and staff both had a great time…we are already talking about how we could tweak and refine it for next year!’
