The Year 9 Peer Tutors have been going to Goldstone Primary this half term. They have been working in Year 1 and taking small groups to try out the activities they have planned about maths. They had training from Mr Whiteman in thinking hard questioning in maths and have had time to prepare some resources specifically for the Year 1’s. They have learnt so much about teaching and planning and all are absolutely exhausted after running their activity at least 15 times across the year group! The teachers at Goldstone have been so impressed with the Year 9’s and are keen to have them back next year. Next week we are running Bebot robot programming activities with the Year 1’s and the Year 9’s have been learning how to program them so they can plan activities!
