University of Brighton Antweight Robotic Challenge

8 Key Stage 3 students recently took part in the Antweight Robotic Challenge at the University of Brighton. Our students had to design, build and test their own robot, and compete against 16 other teams from across Sussex. The robot had to be robust, include 2 servos and be aesthetically pleasing, with students designing their own robot decals.

The robots were then tested to the max by overcoming a number of challenges. Hove Park's robot got all the way to the finals in 2 areas, Football and Sumo, where it finished up second in both. The students were brilliant and stood up to the challenge amazingly!

The students Left to right are Harry Garrard, Konstantinos Mytafidis, Archie Garrat-Eaves and Isaiah Lee.
