The Governors at Hove Park represent different parts of our community including parents and students (as associate governors). We draw from this diversity of views and experience to carry out our role in supporting the work of the headteacher and other staff.
We have a range of duties and powers with a general responsibility for promoting high standards of educational achievement, managing the school’s finances and making sure the curriculum is balanced and broadly based.
We have four main committees that undertake the majority of our work:
| A Committee | Leadership and Management (including finance & buildings) |
| B Committee | Curriculum (achievement & standards, teaching & learning, personal development & well being) |
| C Committee | International Language College |
| D Committee | Student Matters |
All the committees report on their work and progress to meetings of the full Governing Body.
We recognise the key role that parents and carers play in the educational partnership between students, the school and the wider community and therefore welcome any views, issues and concerns they may wish to bring to the attention of the Governors.
