"Hate the sin, love the sinner" - Mahatma Gandhi
Creativity is at the heart of Humanities. Role play, games and innovative methods are employed. Pupils can expect to be involved in wedding ceremonies of different religions, to play Historical Monopoly and to argue the case for the Yanonami people of the Amazon.
We are pleased to have recently embraced the Assessment for Learning pilot project. The project has seen many success' with its philosophy of teaching that informs students on the standards teachers expect and are given criteria on how to raise their own performance.
Fieldtrips remain integral throughout Humanities, local and international trips inform and develop our student's awareness of what they are taught in the classroom. Such success' have seen pupils visit Battle , Hindu temples, the South Downs and Berlin.
