Physical education continues to flourish at Hove Park and has been recognised by the Sports Council through their Sports Mark Award and the FA through their FA Charter Standard Award. We teach a variety of activities in a dynamic way to a high standard, this offers a broad and balanced curriculum. As well as curriculum based subjects students have opportunities to develop their skills in a multitude of extended sports. Examples have seen everything from professional PGA golf tuition to weekend fishing courses!
We have a strong team and are extremely proud of our achievements. We continually win a range of trophies and cups from most of the sporting events we enter. Our students continually excel, for the past 2 years our U14 boys football team has made it to the Quarter Finals and the last 32 of the National Cup. We have had students selected for county rugby teams, the Brighton & Hove Albion football training school, the Brighton & Hove and the Sussex Athletic team to name but a few.
The highlight of the sporting calendar is our sports presentation evening, in which we commend and award all our hard working sports men and women. The event has attracted such celebrities as Sally Gunnell, James Kirtley, Clare Connor (captain of England women's cricket team) and local Seagulls defender Adam El-Abd
