French
In French we explore the culture and history of France and the French speaking world across years 7-11. Events and topics studied include; La Fête des Rois, La Fête Nationale (Bastille Day) and food specialities, modern day France and elements of its past history and the role immigrants play in the vibrancy of modern day France. Above all we focus on how the French language has contributed to the development of modern English as well as the contributions of French culture in cinema, literature and the arts.
