Homework Expectations
Homework at Hove Park School
Home learning is an integral part of your child’s curriculum and an important opportunity to develop their skills as independent and resilient learners. Homework is set through Firefly which is available to students / parents / carers through the app or web browser.
As well as the published homework, students of all ages are expected to make a commitment to reading; vocabulary is a vital building block to success in school and in life – the more your child reads and learns new words, the more successful he or she will be.
Homework is usually set in one of three formats; flipped learning (learning something ready for the next lesson), low-stakes testing (quizzes, individual exam questions etc) or extended writing pieces.
Year 7
